It also allows the knee to exceed 90° in a seated position, which promotes patient independence in sitting and standing positions. \u003cbr\u003eThe adjustable dorsiflexion assist allows for precise adjustment of the AFO based on the patient’s ability to activate their dorsiflexor muscles (to avoid masking this activity), plantarflexor muscle tone, body weight, usual walking speed, etc. It also offers the unique ability to modify the assistance based on the patients’ needs, as their walking ability fluctuates from day to day and even from morning to night.
